Filipino celebrities take the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge

Filipino celebrities joined the bandwagon like other foreign celebrities taking the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge due to its popularity in social media. Participants record themselves while accepting the challenge followed by pouring iced cold water from the bucket into the participant's head, then pass on the challenge to other people to do the same. The person who dared to follow have only 24 hours to carry out the challenge otherwise give a donation to fight ALS or Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis..

Some Filipino local celebrities who take on the challenge are the players of Team Gilas Pilipinas which currently in France preparing for the FIBA World Cup 2014 in Spain. Nonito Donaire while in Las Vegas who also challenged Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao, Rain or Shine PBA Player Jeric Teng and sibling La Salle Player Jeron Teng, Ateneo Blue Eagle Kiefer Ravena, GMA Kapuso and Starstruck Alumni Mark Herras and  Ms. Lea Salonga.

This phenomenon is due to take long because of its popularity in different social media and being viral around the internet, in addition to the participation of many influential and very popular celebrities in various fields around the world.
